EDUCATIONAL VISIT REPORT
Today on dated 13 march 2024 we had visit at Government Deaf and Dumb School, Malkapur, Akola. During educational visit activities done by the students such as technique of hand washing, mouth care & care of nails. This educational visit organized for IVth semester B.Sc. Nursing students and coordinator was Mr. Dipak Sawarkar, M.Sc. Nursing (Mental Health Nursing). They checked the weight and height of the childrens & calculate the BMI.
Basic Research Methodology Workshop
On dated 05/03/2024 we started Basic Research Methodology workshop to 07/03/2024. We called all the Speakers from MUHS panel list for the lecture. Session started with the inauguration by Mrs. Vasudha Gadekar Madam, director of Late Pandurang Patil Nursing College, Akola and continue with the research session. This workshop program coordinator was Mr. Abhijit Bhoyar , Assistance Professor, Child Health Nursing Department Akola. This program conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Shamima Moh. And Mrs. Vailshali Nistane Madam. This program session ended with posttest and feedback from the participant. Number of Participant Participated was 50.
MAHAN DAM EDUCATIONAL VISIT REPORT
Today on Dt. 26/12/2023 our students visited to water purification dam at Mahan, Tq. Barshitakli, Dist. Akola. Under the guidance of Mr. Vyankatesh G. Gavhale Sir, Mr. Deepak S. Sawarkar Sir & Ms. Vaishali V. Nistane Madam.
The participant was IInd Semester B. Sc. Nursing students. This visit helped to gain the knowledge of the students regarding occupational hazards & process of purifying water.
NUTRITION PRACTICAL REPORT
Today, on Dt. 20-12-2023 we had a nutrition practical for B. Sc. Nursing IInd Semester students. The total number of participants was 38. They prepared diets for cardiac patients, hepatic patients, obesity patients, and renal patients. They present very well. The exam is taken by Mr. Abhijit P. Bhoyar Sir, Ms. Vaishali V. Nistane Madam & Ms. Mohammad Shameema Madam. This practical was conducted under the guidance was Mr. Deepak S. Sawarkar Sir, Mr. Pavan P. Pohare Sir, Mr. Vyanktesh G. Gavhale Sir & Ms. Nikita B. Pakhare Madam.
A surprise visit was done by Mrs. Vasudha D. Gadekar Madam & who guided the students on how to explain things according to the condition of the patient. They are always supporting and encouraging the students.
CELEBRATION OF WORLD HEART DAY 2023
Today on dated 29/09/2023 we had Celebrate heart day. This program was coordinated by Ms. Vaishali Nistane madam. Students of BSc second semester students & GNM First year students participated in a program. The theme was “USE HEART, KNOW HEART”. We can utilize this day to recognize the importance of a healthy heart.
CELEBRATION OF AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR T.B.& LEPROSY 2023
Today 30/09/2023 we had Rally from Late Pandurang Patil Nursing College, Akola to primary heath center of Kanheri & then the rally was up to the Grampanchayat of Kanheri. It was organized to create awareness of prevention of diseases tuberculosis & leprosy. It was ordered by DHO. The PHCs health officers & ASHA workers has participated in this rally. The theme was under National Ayushaman project. Second semester BSc students & GNM First Year students has participated in this rally along with principal, teachers & PHC staff.
CELEBRATION OF BREASTFEEDING WEEK
Today on 2nd August 2023 we celebrated the Breastfeeding Week program in PHC Kanheri (Sarap), Akola. This program was organized by IIIrd Year Basic B. Sc. Nursing Students & Coordinated by Ms. Nikita Pakhare Nursing Tutor and the chief guest was Mrs. Nalini Deshmukh Madam & Dr. Rathod Sir RMO, Kanheri (Sarap), Akola.
World Mental Health Day Celebration
On 10th October, we celebrated World Mental Health Day in the primary health center, Kanheri (Sarap). The theme was “Make mental health and well-being for all a global priority”. The chief guest for this program was Dr.Sachin Rathod sir (Asst. MO OF PHC). Students made very attractive and informative posters. The awareness is created through various posters. The Health Education Awareness speech was given by the 2nd year student Ms. Bhavna Ubale. Along with that MO of PHC addressed the students on this day. A staff of PHC appreciated the student’s work. Mr.Sushil Wankhade (Nursing Tutor/Clinical Instructor, LPPNC) guides students throughout the program. Program Anchoring was done by Mr.Anurag Tayade
Celebrated Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Birth Anniversary as Reading Inspiration Day on 15th October 2022
Today Missile Man of India former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary was celebrated in our college as Reading Inspiration Day. For this program, the chief guest was the Vice Principal of our college Mr.Arun Prasath sir, staff of the college Professor Madhuri Wani Madam, Varsha Madam and Sangeeta Pathak Madam were also present for this program. Mr.Arun Prasath sir specified students about the importance of reading in his speech. All B.Sc nursing students were present for this program.
75th independence day celebration
On 15.08.2022 college celebrated the 75th Independence Day with joy and happiness. Mr. Aviunash Duryodhan, Principal, B.ed, and Mr. Pradep Nanote, Principal, PGMLT was the chief guest of the program. The program started by welcoming our chief guest followed by hoisting the national flag and ended with the National Anthem. The importance of independence to every citizen was elaborated during the program
Tree Plantation
On 10.06.2022 college celeberated MUHS Fountation Day in our college permises followed by tree plantation program with the help of our nursing students and teaching and non teaching staffs. With this program student got an awareness about the importance of nature and its protection
World Breast Feeding Week Celebration – 2022
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological nursing conducted World Breast Feeding Week on 4th August 2022 Mahan PHC on the theme ‘ Educate and Support’. World Breast Feeding week is celebrated every year from 1 – 7 August to encourage breastfeeding. It is the best way to provide various health benefits to both mother and baby. The world breastfeeding week 2022 focuses on strengthening the capacity of protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding across different levels of society. Our 4th-year BSc Nursing students displayed an exhibition through posters and a diet to be followed during the postnatal period.

- Feeding positions for twin babies
- Latching
Raw Vegetables were displayed and explained the importance of diet during the postnatal period.
Students explained each chart to all clients including ANC and PNC mothers. Mothers responded well during the session and they had good interaction with our students. The program was organized and guided by Mrs. Parasakthi.M Associate Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing Department. All PHC staff cooperated well to organize and proceed with the program. We started the program at 10 am and completed it at 12noon.
Youth Rally
On 12.08.2022 Late Pandurang Patil Nursing College conducted a youth rally. Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Gajanan Hamand, Tahasildar Barshitakli, Akola. and Mr. Prabhakar Tidke, HIV AIDS Counselor Barshitakli, Akola. The rally started from the tehsil office and continued throughout the Barshitakli village. The main aim of this rally was to aware people of Har Ghar Tiranga & to create awareness in the youth regarding HIV AIDS. We tried our best to give knowledge to the community people and spread awareness about HIV AIDS & Har Ghar Tiranga.
Lamp Lighting Ceremony
On 15.07.2022 college conducted lamp lighting ceremony for A.Y. batch of 2020-21. Ist Year students have taken oath today and it was followed by fresher party. Mrs. Suneeta A. Davey, Principal was the Chief Guest for the program. Total142 participant present for the ceremony with great enthusiasm and with confidence to do better for the society. Flag hosting done by Mr. Arun Prasath Sir. After Flag hosting university song sung by all Teaching, Non Teaching & B. Sc. Nursing Student of our college Followed by National Anthem and Tree Plantation.
From 14.6.22 and 15.6.22 we conducted Barclays Life skill program organized by Late Pandurang Patil Nursing College, Akola, venue – multi purpose hall.
Time 10am to 5pm. All students from first year B. BSC Nursing to final year students attend the programe. All students acknowledged the importance of time management, stress management, leadership skills, motivation ideas etc.
On 12.05.2022 we celebrated nurse’s day 2022. The theme was ” A voice to lead- invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global Health. The chief guest was the principal mam. All teachers were given roses as tokens of respect n appreciation. Small speeches were given by all teachers a few words were spoken by respectful invitees like Dr Akshay Kamble. The cake was provided to everyone by the teachers. It was a memorable day.
